News Yankees Pickup Dave Rabertson Contract

NEW YORK — The Yankees bought right-hander Dave Robertson's contract from Triple-A Scranton, Wilkes-Barre. New York retuned lefty Kei Igawa back to Triple-A, one day after being called up. Robertson has a 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA and one save in 20 relief appearances for Scranton. He had 48 strikeouts and 16 walks in 33 innings. "I figured sooner or later I'd get a shot, but I got the call sooner than I expected," said Robertson.

TORONTO — Vernon Wells homered and drove in three runs to help the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Atlanta Braves 9-5 on Saturday. Mark Teixeira hit his 16th homer and Gregor Blanco had a career-high four hits for the Braves. Teixeira has six homers and 11 RBIs in his past six games.

CHICAGO - Nick Swisher helped the White Sox get some payback against the Cubs. Swisher's grand slam capped a seven-run third inning against Ryan Dempster and the White Sox beat the Cubs 10-3 on Friday at U.S. Cellular Field.

SAN DIEGO - Jarrod Washburn won for the first time in eight starts and the Seattle Mariners beat Randy Wolf and the San Diego Padres 5-2 Friday night despite stranding a franchise-record 18 baserunners,
