Joba's first start was dismal lasting only 2.1 inning throwing 62 pitches walking 2 striking out 3. The Yankees used 6 pitchers in their 9-3 loss.
Boston wins 11Th at home 11-4 verses Tampa Bay. Justin Masterson (2-0) allowed four runs in six innings, Jonathan Papelbon struck out two in a perfect ninth for his 17Th save.
